Reflection on “Triumphing Over Doubt” for the believer

We all have periods of confusion and doubt as believers. We could question God’s word or His purpose for our lives.

Genesis 18:14, however, serves as a reminder that God’s promises are unstoppable and that He is always dependable to keep them, even when they appear to be unattainable to us. This should reassure us that, despite our doubts, we may put our faith in God’s strength and sovereignty.

We must hold firm to our faith and cling to God’s promises if we want to overcome doubt. We must keep in mind the occasions when God has delivered for us in the past and have faith that He will do so once again in the future.

We must also enlist the aid of the Christian community, who can cheer us on and pray for us when we are struggling.
