So much of our anxiety comes from clinging to things that were never built to last. But an inheritance that endures changes how you carry every earthly loss and every worry about tomorrow.

Consider Moses. He grew up in Pharaoh’s palace, with all the treasures of Egypt at his fingertips. Yet Hebrews tells us he chose to suffer with God’s people rather than enjoy the passing pleasures of sin.

Why would he walk away from that much wealth? Because he was looking ahead to the reward. He esteemed the reproach of Christ as greater riches than the treasures of Egypt.

See, Moses understood that Egypt’s gold would fade, but the inheritance that endures never would. He traded the temporary for the eternal, and he never regretted it.
